Chat without registration. Understand what stays private.
Guest chat removes the account-creation step. On Chatlib India, adults can choose a nickname and provide basic profile details to enter a room without giving a phone number or email address. This makes joining easier, but a nickname is not a guarantee of complete anonymity.
What other people can see
Your nickname, selected age, country and other public profile details can be visible to other users. Public-room messages can be read by people who enter the room. Choose a nickname that is not tied to your personal social accounts if you want to keep those identities separate. Do not put your address or contact details in your profile.
What the service needs to store
The backend stores sessions, profiles and messages to operate chat, along with blocks, friendships and reports. Registered passwords are stored as salted hashes. This release does not provide end-to-end encryption. The privacy policy explains media expiry; normal text history does not automatically disappear unless a chat timer is agreed.
When an account helps
An optional account lets you return using your nickname and password, keep a friends list and change profile preferences. You can upgrade your guest profile from Profile & preferences. A guest session is temporary, so do not treat it as a reliable way to recover your identity after losing browser data.
A quick privacy check before sending
Ask whether a message reveals something you would not want copied: a number, personal photograph, financial detail or identifying document. Deletion controls reduce availability in this service; they cannot erase screenshots or recordings made by another person. Leave a conversation if it makes you uncomfortable.
